AER Moldova is a recently established alliance of reformed evangelical churches in Moldova who share the same theological convictions to preach the whole counsel of God, by expositing the word faithfully. 

Graeme Innes, member of AER Moldova’s steering council, reports on the ‘Big God’ conference that took place in May 2024.

‘The ‘Big God’ conference took place on Saturday 18 May in Moldova. It was the first ever national Bible conference run by AER Moldova, and it was quite probably the first time in Moldovan history where the providence of God was taught so comprehensively. 

By God’s grace the conference was packed to capacity. Over 200 believers from 15 churches gathered together for prayer, praise and the faithful proclamation of God’s word. The speaker was Orlando Saer, who is the pastor of Christ Church Southampton. His book ‘Big God’ was translated into Romanian and distributed to every participant. Orlando preached warmly and winsomely about just how big God truly is, and how his providence is seen in every single area of our lives. Moldovan believers were helped by his practical application, engaging illustrations and clear style of preaching. In addition to receiving great teaching, it was a precious time of fellowship, particularly for believers from more remote parts of the country.

We were also very thankful to the Lord for the opportunity to offer biblically sound Christian books in Romanian from Romania, and in Russian, which were brought from a country in the Russian-speaking world. As such good resources are scarce in Moldova, the books were snapped up by the participants.
