Dear Friends,

As many of us got some well-deserved rest during the Christmas break, I looked back at 2022 with gratitude in my heart for the Lord’s kindness to Christ Central Soweto. 2022 was our first official year out of COVID-related lockdowns and the reality of the impact of the pandemic was obvious for all of us to see. Yet the Lord remained faithful and gave us much to be thankful for.

At our annual Thanksgiving service, we celebrated our children from the community of Klipspruit (many of whom have been with us since we launched in 2018). We celebrated our students, who are some of the new faces in our church. We celebrated the Khanyiles, a family who have been a part of us for the last three years and who are now moving on to new opportunities. We also celebrated God and the wonderful work he has done in our lives personally but also in the life of our church.

As we enter 2023, we recognise the many changes we will encounter. We are changing venues and our new home will be the Seven Day Adventist church building at the corner of Qola and Mabhelebhele Street, Pimville Zone 6, Soweto. With this move, it is an opportunity for us to engage with the community of Pimville and share the hope of the gospel with them. Pray for us as we do this.

We will also be building on our new land at the corner of Mabhelebhele Street and Nonqawe Street, Pimville Zone 6, Soweto (See 3D pic below). If you are in a position to partner with us in this, please do let us know and we will let you know how.

Lastly, Christ Central Soweto would like to thank you for your partnership in the gospel.

Whether through faithfully praying for us, visiting us when you are in town, checking up on us, or through your generous gifts. You are part of our story as a church and your partnership is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Musa Nting
