Γεια σας to you all!

We thought we’d send you a brief update to let you know that we arrived safely in Cyprus just over a week ago. We are very thankful for all of your prayer leading up to our travel, and we are thankful for a more-or-less smooth journey.

Last week we got the keys to our new house – a bungalow about 15 minutes’ drive from the centre of Larnaca. Since then we’ve been going to-and-fro filling out various forms, gathering furniture and making sure we can function in our new home. That looks set to continue for a little while longer.

Unfortunately a large proportion of the church here in Larnaca has been isolating for COVID since we arrived, so we’ve not been able to spend that much time with church family yet. They’re now starting to be ‘released’, so this will change soon.

Despite that, it has been very encouraging to see and hear faithful brothers and sisters trusting in the same Lord Jesus Christ and teaching the same gospel.

There is not much more news at the moment – the dust is starting to settle and we are looking forward to serving alongside the church here.

Please pray particularly:

For my (David) permanent residency application. We don’t anticipate many problems with the application… once we’ve managed to navigate the labyrinth of civil service departments to find out who we need to submit it to.
That we’d continue to build strong relationships within the church and that these will be fruitful for the kingdom of God.

Finally, Crosslinks have set up a PrayerMate feed for us to use. In addition to our larger prayer updates we will be adding prayer requests to this feed more regularly. If you use the PrayerMate app then you can sign up to that here.

That’s all for now. Once again, thank you for your partnership in the gospel.

All the best,

David and Margarita
