Tom and Liz Trump

'Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgement, but has passed from death to life.' John 5:24.
Brussels, the capital of Belgium, is a multicultural city of over a million people. Despite sitting within the Flemish region of the country, Brussels is a predominantly French-speaking city although different languages are heard on every corner.
The Etterbeek district is one of the most international districts in this international city. The headquarters of the three European Union Institutions tower over ‘old-Brussels’ streets of art-deco townhouses and hidden parks. Etterbeek has a population of around 50,000 inhabitants for which there are just two small French-speaking evangelical churches.
Tom and Liz have been living and working in Brussels since 2013. After ten years in finance Tom is completing theological training at the Brussels Bible Institute and working as the assistant pastor at Emmanuel Etterbeek church which they helped to plant in 2016. The French-speaking church has around 40 adults on a Sunday and sits within a church association of protestant evangelical churches in French-speaking Belgium. Tom is passionate about seeing God's Word faithfully understood and lived out as people's lives are transformed by the gospel of God's grace.
Tom focuses his time on preaching and teaching in a variety of settings: to the gathered church and in a small group and one-to-one studies. He heads up the children’s ministry, and is seeking ways to train the men of the church to rightly handle and teach the Bible. Tom directs one of the two InterAction Belgium summer camps. Liz looks after Lucas (6) and Theo (1) and helps to run a church-based mums and toddler group. She also reads the Bible with a lady at church, and spends her time getting to know people in the community and improving her French.
Please prayerfully consider supporting the Trumps financially and in prayer. You can sign up to their prayer letters and set up a regular/one-off donation on this page (above right).

We’re delighted to be writing our first official Crosslinks prayer letter to you. Although we have a fair way to go with raising support (see the last paragraph with some facts and figures!), we are thankful for the opportunity that this is giving us to trust in the Lord’s provision and to pray. This summer marks the end of Tom’s full-time theological study at the Brussels Bible Institute and the start, we hope, of full time ministry at Eglise Emmanuel Etterbeek.
At camp, Liz gave a talk on God revealing his name to Moses (Exodus 3). We have been comforted recently by this wonderful truth that God is the great I AM who has always existed and will never change. He is the definition of stability and is a promise-keeper. We’ve been keeping this truth in mind during this period of transition.
