Timmy is studying Spanish at Exeter University and spent seven months in San Sebastián, helping with the student ministry there.
In Spain, just 1% of the population are evangelical Christians. The large majority of people identify as Roman Catholic, however this tends to be a sense of cultural identity and belonging rather than personal belief in God. Among young people, more and more students are arriving at university without traditional Christian values.
Timmy worked alongside Grupos Bíblicos Unidos (GBU), the IFES affiliated Christian student movement in Spain. He led bible studies in small group and one-to-one settings, organised evangelistic events and encouraged Christian students. He also joined a local church, actively serving the congregation there.

First of all, I apologise for not updating you all sooner. Almost three months have passed since my last update so let me catch you up a bit!
Perhaps the most major update in my life for those who haven’t been in the loop was my recent engagement to my now fiancée, Becca, which happened over the New Year. I was extremely grateful to be able to spend a few weeks at home in the UK over Christmas and New Year which enabled me to spend precious times with friends and family, but most importantly ask my best friend and love of my life to spend the rest of our lives together - and she said YES!
