Thorsten and Kerstin work at Edinburgh Bible College (EBC). Thorsten is Vice-Principal and has a teaching, leadership and pastoral role. Kerstin is involved in administration and the mentoring of female students. She is also involved in the local church, focussing on counselling and discipleship.
Before moving to EBC, Thorsten and Kerstin worked at Namibia Evangelical Theological Seminary for nine years. Their experience of ministry in six churches, three countries and two continents is invaluable for the training and development of Christ-like gospel workers for Europe. One of the classes Thorsten teaches is a new cross-cultural mission course.

Numbers can be a source of great encouragement as well as a real downer. We stopped counting a long time ago how many weeks and months we have lived in lockdown. Our coping strategy has been to live in the moment rather than looking back or forward.
We have rejoiced, though, in the decreasing numbers on the bathroom scales (we’ve lost 2 ½ stones (18 kg) between us!) and the ever-growing number of ladies joining the ladies’ bible study.
The world is pre-occupied with incidence rates (number of new COVID-19 cases per 100 000 inhabitants). How wonderful it would be if there was such a thing as a ‘conversion rate’ being announced on a daily basis so that we could join the parties taking place in heaven (Luke 15:7)! We are aware of at least one person in each of three local churches who have come to know Jesus as Lord and Saviour in recent months. Do you know of any? Let us know so that we can rejoice with you! After all, we know that it’s not the shrinking incidence rate or the vaccination that saves us!
