Thomas is studying German and Arabic at Durham University. As part of his language year abroad, Thomas spent two months serving at the city centre church FEG München-Mitte in Munich, Germany. Thomas was involved with a variety of activities including studying the Bible in small groups and one-to-one, youth work, visiting elderly people and evangelistic outreach. Thomas also read books about the Reformation and completed his university assignment. Spending a university year abroad with Crosslinks is a great way to be involved with overseas mission whilst fulfilling course requirements.

Thank you so much for your support in prayer! It has been incredibly valuable and I am very thankful. I am back in the UK now and my time in Munich, and my year abroad as a whole, has come to an end.
Sadly, M, whom I spoke to on the outreach week, has not contacted me. I did not hear of much fruit off the back of the week. Though that does not mean that seeds have not been planted! We must remember that it is the Lord’s work.
Moreover, an opportunity to regularly read the Bible one-to-one with someone did not present itself. However, that did not stop me from meeting once with a guy (MP) from the youth, an exchange student from Switzerland, to read the Bible together just before he had to go back home.
