Peter and Miranda Harris

Peter and Miranda work for A Rocha, a Christian environmental organisation working in over 20 countries around the world.

It is with great sadness that we share the news that Peter and Miranda have been involved in a horrific road traffic accident in South Africa. Miranda was killed in the accident and Peter is in hospital in Port Elizabeth in a stable condition. Peter and Miranda founded and work for A Rocha and have been mission partners with Crosslinks for 35 years.

Peter and Miranda have four adult children in the UK.

Chris Naylor, A Rocha International CEO, and his wife Susanna were travelling with them and also died. Our thoughts and prayers are with both families and A Rocha at this time.

You can read the press statement from A Rocha here.

Peter and Miranda became Crosslinks mission partners in 1983, establishing the first A Rocha project in Portugal. Their role was to provide support for A Rocha's practical community based conservation projects, which give expression to the Christian conviction that 'The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it'. They were also involved with the international environmental community in giving focus to the relevance of questions of belief in the defense of biodiversity.
