For her university language year abroad, Joanna is spending September 2017-January 2018 at a university in Brussels and is joining in at Woluwe Church (alongside MPs Steve and Dawn Orange and Robbie and Lizzie Bellis).
From February-June she will be serving as a church apprentice on Le Stage 222 at Woluwe. As well as participating in the church student group, the Stage 222 programme involves helping with mums’ and toddlers’ groups, teaching Sunday school, leading a youth group, reading one-to-one with an older Christian and studying one day a week at the Belgian Bible Institute – all in French!

Sorry for the lack of prayer letter at the end of last month, it has been a fairly busy time as the year comes to an end, but I appreciate all of you who have been faithfully praying for me throughout the year here.
As I sent out my last prayer letter, I was preparing to go on the church weekend away, where Emma (the other intern) and I were in charge of planning the kids’ programme for the weekend. This was a challenging experience for me and definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone but, with God’s help, I was able to go through ‘2 ways 2 live’ with them. This is a great evangelistic tool which explains the gospel using six pictures and the children were able to recognise and explain the pictures by the end of the weekend. Pray that they may remember what they learnt and be able to share the message of the gospel with their friends at school.
