January 2022

It was great to be able to celebrate the amazing fact of our great God and saviour the Lord Jesus coming into the world. Like many, our Christmas plans were slightly scuppered by Omicron, although we were able to run all our services without too many people having to isolate. We welcomed visitors to each of our carol services and were able to keep our profile up in Wanstead by distributing about 3,500 leaflets. Another highlight was two Grace Church Tots grandmothers reading through an advent book during December.

Give thanks

  • For God sending his Son into the world.
  • For non-Christians engaging with the gospel either through reading or hearing the gospel.
  • For God's protection so that we were able to run our various carol services.
  • For non-Christian family members hearing the gospel.

Pray for our evangelism

  • That God will continue to work in the hearts of those who heard the gospel in December.
  • That the Passion for Life training materials will help our personal/friendship evangelism.
  • For planning with our other local partner churches for the Easter Passion for Life mission.
  • For more people to come to our toddler group and hear the week by week bible stories.
  • For more workers for the harvest field.
  • For God to grow a harvest from our evangelistic efforts over the years.

Pray for our edification

  • That our studies in Acts will encourage us and spur us on in evangelism.
  • For more musicians and Sunday school teachers to enhance our ministry.
  • That families and individuals will maintain good routines of bible reading and prayer in the New Year.
