Luke and Mary Foster are involved in the ministry of the Centre for Pastoral Studies (CEP), an Anglican training college in Chile’s capital city Santiago.
CEP seeks to serve the church in Chile and beyond by training Christian leaders so they might love the Lord Jesus more deeply and be equipped to preach the gospel more faithfully. Luke teaches Church History and Doctrine while Mary supports Luke by looking after the family and building relationships with staff and students’ families.
Luke and Mary have two children, Barnabas and Martha.

‘But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him.’
I was reading these verses from Matthew 14 a few days ago and was encouraged by the precious reminder that when so much seems uncertain and overwhelming it is Jesus who reaches out to us, takes us by the hand, and brings us to himself.
At the start of March we landed back in Chile after three months of home assignment in the UK. We landed back in Chile to find protests in the streets and the coronavirus in the news. Now, as in so many places in the world, the streets are quiet and there is little certainty about what happens next. Please join us in praying that we as a family would be quick to call out to Jesus – and to speak to others about Jesus – so that we might take his hand and know the peace and salvation that only he can provide.
