Thank you for all your prayers and messages, it’s been really appreciated and felt here.
Having been in The Gambia now for over three weeks we are starting to feel more and more at home and have even been given Gambian names, assigned to us by local Gambians, such as, Abbas, Babacar, Mousa, and Mamadu. This has been really fun, although it makes sharing the gospel a little difficult when I introduce myself as Muhammed. I think I will stick with Tom for now.
Since our last update the days have ticked by much more quickly as we now begin to settle into a routine. On Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays we are in schools until the afternoon, teaching or building relationships with colleagues. On Wednesdays we have our meetings with GamFes (also in the mornings) and then on Fridays we go back into Agape Preparatory and Glory Baptist School for the morning devotions. Sunday is our day of Omega Church and ‘Smile church’, our time in the evening as a group where we listen to a sermon from the UK, sing and pray together. In between all these we have seminars and bible studies, which have been challenging and helpful.
