During August 2018, a group of six students from Queen's University Belfast will deploy to Durban to work alongside Crosslinks mission partner Nerena Neathercoat for two weeks. The team will be made up of Zoe, Jordan, Ross, Holly, Joanna and Jake who all attend Queen's Christian Union. Alongside Nerena and the rest of the team at The Bible Talks (TBT), they will be involved in campus evangelism across two campuses of the University of KwaZulu Natal. During the first week of their deployment, they will help with the promoting and organising of campus mission weeks, a way of reaching out to students on campus who have little to no engagement with TBT or any other gospel events. The second week will be spent building on relationships with both students that are already involved in TBT and also new contacts made during the mission week.

We have finished our first week here in Durban with 'The Bible Talks' (TBT) - a student ministry on campus run by staff and students where ‘the Bible does the talking'. They currently run on two campuses of the University of KwaZulu Natal; Howard and Westville. We have been involved in the outreach and ministry on both campuses. The Bible Talks encourage students to ask questions of Christianity and the Bible in order to understand the truth of God’s word in a culture where questioning God and Christianity is frowned upon.
