Peter Njoroge Kimani

Peter is a BEST study partner at Africa International University in Nairobi.

Peter grew up being taken to church by his parents and became a Christian during a youth group meeting. After finishing university, Peter joined a Christian internship programme where he trained university students to read the Bible. Following this, he worked in finance and administration for another young persons' discipleship organisation. Whilst in this role, Peter was also involved with discipleship work among teenagers and students. In January 2019, Peter joined iServe Africa to help run their Christian gap year programme, TransformD

Peter is undertaking these studyies to equip him for his work at TransformD as well as prepare him for future church planting ministry. Peter writes, ‘In my area, most churches are caught up in the deception of prosperity gospel and the word of faith movement. There is a huge need for more people to faithfully proclaim the gospel. Added to this, there is a huge gap in discipleship work. Young believers need men who will disciple them and also ground them in the true doctrine of the Scriptures.’

Peter is studying the two-year MA in Biblical Studies course. He needs £4,100 per academic year until the end of September 2021.
