Mziwanele Mhlenti

Mziwanele is a BEST study partner at George Whitefield College in Cape Town, South Africa.

Mziwanele (or ‘Mzi’) became a Christian when he was 16 after the witness of a friend. He grew in his faith whilst a student at university and, because of the impact student ministry had on his life, he is now passionate about ministering to students himself.

After a few years in secular jobs, Mzi began an apprenticeship at Christ Church Hillbrow (CCH) in 2019. As an apprentice, Mzi was involved with the church’s student work, at the same time as studying one day a week at Johannesburg Bible College. The leadership team at CCH recommended Mzi for theological training at George Whitefield College. Mzi writes, ‘I want to be equipped so that I can know the word of God and preach it faithfully. After I have finished my studies I will work at CCH as curate and student worker.’

Mzi is studying the three year Bachelor of Theology course at George Whitefield College from January 2020 to November 2022. He needs £2,820 to complete his studies.
