Mziwanele Mhlenti

Mziwanele is a study partner at George Whitefield College in Cape Town, South Africa.

Mziwanele (or ‘Mzi’) became a Christian when he was 16 but grew significantly in faith while he was at university. Because of the impact student ministry had on his life, Mzi is passionate about ministering to students and would like to be involved in student ministry long-term.

After a few years in secular jobs, Mzi began an apprenticeship at Christ Church Hillbrow in 2019. This confirmed to Mzi that he'd like to work in ministry full-time and the leadership team at Christ Church recommended Mzi for further theological training. Mzi writes, ‘I want to be equipped so that I can know the word of God and preach it faithfully. After I finish my studies I will work at Christ Church as curate and student worker.’

Training
Mzi is studying the three year Bachelor of Theology course at George Whitefield College from January 2020 to November 2022. He needs £2,820 to complete his studies.
