Mensah Ameyaw

Ameyaw is a BEST study partner at George Whitefield College in Cape Town, South Africa.

Ameyaw is from Kumasi in Ghana. He was brought up going to church but it wasn’t until he was in high school that he began to take the gospel message seriously. When he was 16, he responded to an invitation to repent at church, but relapsed shortly afterwards, still under the impression that salvation had to be earnt through good works. When he was 18, at a Christian Union meeting, Ameyaw realised his helplessness before God and asked God to save him. At that moment, he felt God was saying to him ‘Ameyaw, I will save and keep you.’

Since graduating from university, Ameyaw has worked for RELITE in Accra. He writes, ‘RELITE has been training university students in expository preaching, discipleship and bible-handling skills for a decade and are now planning to open a new centre in Kumasi. I plan to relocate with my family to pioneer this new phase of RELITE’s ministry and so I am training at George Whitefield College to equip myself with the necessary skills to carry out a faithful and fruitful ministry.’

Ameyaw is studying the three-year Bachelor of Theology course at George Whitefield College, from January 2017. He needs £2,035 per academic year until the end of November 2019 to complete his studies.
