Kayley is spending her gap year serving alongside Crosslinks mission partners James and Lucy Buchanan in Johannesburg. She will be serving as an apprentice at Hope Church Auckland Park, primarily helping with the crèche, children’s work and youth group. She will also be reading the Bible with teenagers and helping out with Easter holiday club and administrative tasks. In addition, Kayley will spend two mornings each week studying at Johannesburg Bible College.

I’ll try and keep this prayer letter short and sweet - I can’t believe it is the penultimate prayer letter before I return back to the UK. It’s been a crazy journey so far but I’m constantly grateful for everyone who’s had me in their prayers.
One thing I’ve learnt is that mission trips aren’t always these big crazy projects to rural areas - you can be a missionary in any country and to any type of people. Many of our roles are simply supporting the amazing people already working at Hope Church, which I think is really important to notice. Alice and I are not working alone and we’re not planting any drastic new projects but we’ve allowed ourselves to serve in and out of our comfort zones for the glory God.
