Andy and Rachel serve at Proclamation Institute Zambia (PIZ) - a local bible school that was set up to meet the need for bible teachers who have been trained to teach and preach the Bible faithfully.
Both Andy and Rachel have had a desire to serve God in an African context for many years. Through a year in Zambia in 2006 for Rachel, and through short-term mission trips to various countries in Africa for Andy, both had that desire confirmed. After getting married in 2007, Andy and Rachel spent five years in South Africa, studying Theology at George Whitefield College and serving in a local church. On returning to the UK, Andy pastored a small church for five years.
Andy and Rachel are now looking forward to this opportunity to teach and disciple Zambian Christians so that they ‘do not need to be ashamed and correctly handle the word of truth’.

‘Have you got a date yet?’ This was the question asked on a daily basis as we bumped into people we know around our home town and at work. ‘No,’ we replied, ‘We’re just waiting for…’
Over the last few months we’ve been visiting churches who are now partnering with us in prayer and giving, filling out lots of bits of paper, planning what to take and what to leave as well as carrying on with the normal stuff of life. We’ve been living in that in between time of going, but not yet gone! We wanted to share two signs of God’s grace we have experienced over the last few months.
