Helen works with Calvary Church Castlebar in County Mayo.
Helen grew up in Liverpool but her parents were from County Mayo and so, growing up, Helen enjoyed something of the Irish culture at home and when visiting her parents’ home country. She worked in London for many years and this was where she came to understand the good news of Jesus for the first time. Before moving to Ireland in 2016 she was working with churches in London.
As the women and children’s worker for Calvary Church, Helen‘s main responsibilities include a women’s Bible study group, reading the Bible one-to-one with women as opportunity arises, teaching Sunday school and running a weekly youth group.
Her hope is to be useful in helping young and old in the church and community learn from the Bible and live for Jesus in every area of life.
