Chris and Rosy, who were trained in Newcastle and sent out by St Joseph’s Benwell, have a passion to see the gospel flourish in Spain as the local church takes up the challenge to make disciples.

The protestant church in Spain has had a turbulent past with both the inquisition during the time of reformation and the dictatorship of Franco in the 20th century crushing the gospel witness through persecution. Now around 1% of the population of Spain are evangelical Christians. Most of this 1% are immigrants from countries where the church is more mature.

After three years in a training role supporting the work of another church in Valencia, Chris and Rosy have moved to a leadership role in Méndez Núñez, a long-standing church in the city, where they are looking to help make disciples who make disciples. They are involved in the everyday life of the church, with Chris serving as the full time elder alongside two lay elders and Rosy supporting the work by serving with her passion for discipling women.

They have two young children, Lydia and Santi.

Chris and Rosy recognise that it is a privilege to serve God in this way. They would love gospel-hearted Christians to partner with them in the work, supporting them by praying and giving financially.
