Andy and Zsófi head up Acorn, which trains Hungarian leaders in Bible-centred youth work.
Many Hungarian youth groups are run by godly volunteers who love young people but have no formal training. Others are run by pastors who have theological training but often find it hard to connect with young people. Andy and Zsófi’s passion is to train these youth leaders to be better equipped at teaching God’s word to young people faithfully, relevantly and clearly. Their work is centred around the Acorn Bible Training course which takes a cohort of youth pastors and leaders through a one-year programme. Acorn also facilitates English Christian youth camps with Hungarian churches.
Alongisde their ministry with Acorn, Andy and Zsófi are involved in leading Cornerstone Biatorbágy, a new church plant in their hometown. Andy has also just accepted a new part-time role as Director of Langham Preaching: Europe and Caribbean, which will commence in June 2025. This will further Andy’s ministry of preaching and training up preachers alongside the work of Acorn and co-leading Cornerstone Biatorbágy.
Andy and Zsófi have three children: David, Réka and Emily.
