Sam Bronsdon

Sam is the Camp Coordinator at Acorn in Hungary – an organisation which shares Jesus with Hungarian teenagers through faithful Bible training and camp ministry.

Sam lives in Budapest with his wife Tirca. He works at Acorn to facilitate Christian camps for Hungarian teenagers, partnering UK and local Hungarian churches together. They proactively seek to connect Christians from both countries and support them in the preparation and running of camps. Sam also supports Acorn’s Bible Training Course, and teaches and helps lead his local church’s youth group. All this work also includes learning the Hungarian language.

Recent Prayer Letters

Greetings from an enjoyably warmer Budapest! And with the warmer weather, many reasons to praise God and a couple prayer requests.
It feels like the last newsletter was a long time ago as it’s been a busy few months! This letter also features an important update to Tirca’s role at the end.
It’s officially summer in Hungary as temperatures are now up and over 30º and our curtains are drawn during the day to keep us cool – but summer is only starting, and we’ve got lots to talk about!
It’s been six months since we officially started this new chapter of our lives and there is a lot to catch up about!
As our first Crosslinks letter, we’d love to briefly explain our mission at Acorn and share some exciting developments. Acorn’s mission is to train leaders in Bible-centred youth work. This has manifested in the form of a Bible training course (ABK) and youth camps. Crosslinks partners and Acorn founders, Andy and Zsófi Oatridge, have asked us to take responsibility for the camp work.
