Raymond is studying for an NQF5 at Johannesburg Bible College.
Raymond had the great joy and privilege of being raised in a Christian family. Through the witness of his parents and through the conviction of the Spirit, Raymond’s eyes were opened to the consequences of his sin and his need for a Saviour. God particularly used Raymond’s personal time of reading his Bible to teach him and grow in him a hunger for loving and serving the Lord. In Raymond’s area, his church has many opportunities. Raymond sees the benefit of being part of a united church family with many different gifts that can be used for God’s glory. However, he also sees the potential dangers – many have a zeal for evangelism but preach without a proper knowledge of God’s word. Raymond is pursuing theological education in order to be full equipped with the right and proper knowledge so he can teach faithfully and refute false preaching. He longs to ‘share the word in God in all its fullness with confidence and accuracy’ and to ‘sharpen [his] faith through his knowledge of God’s word’. After theological study, Raymond will take up pastoral and word-ministry responsibilities in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Please consider joining Raymond in gospel partnership, praying with him and supporting him financially. He needs £6,015 for his studies in 2023.
