Joseph is a BEST study partner with George Whitefield College in Cape Town, South Africa. While studying at GWC, Joseph has been placed with St John’s Church Bothasig and is involved in their youth and community outreach.
Joseph grew up attending church. But he gradually realised there was a tension between his routine response to altar calls and the swiftness with which he returned to sinful habits and gave into temptation. In June 2016, Joseph started his first semester at the University of Ghana and stumbled across a Christian youth organisation called Teens Aloud Foundation. It was during one of their meetings that Joseph realised that, once he had surrendered his life to God, there was no need to repeat the altar call, since God was not counting Joseph’s sin against him. Instead, Joseph started to confidently come to God in prayer for forgiveness and ask for self-control to live out a life that honoured God. Consequently, his relationship with the Lord has deepened with the knowledge of how much he has been forgiven, and with love for the Lord and his people.
‘I now serve Teens Aloud with their vision to challenge the younger generation to passionately pursue Jesus Christ and take his message of life to the ends of the earth,’ says Joseph. Joseph has been involved in leading missions in South Africa, Nigeria, Liberia and Eswatini. His heart is for helping teenagers develop and grow daily in their relationship with the Lord, instead of being side-lined until they are adults. Following completion of his studies, Joseph plans to spearhead the youth work at his home church and get involved in the leadership of Teens Aloud, organising youth training conferences.
Joseph needs £5,920 to cover his studies (which includes a 10% administration fee). This is made up of £2,960 for 2023 and £2,960 for 2024. Please consider joining Joseph in gospel partnership, praying with him and supporting him financially. Through partnering with Joseph, you can play a real part in indigenous gospel mission.
