Jonny and Ruth are seeking to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ and see healthy churches grow for the glory of God through serving at Stupenda Grazia – a small church in Modena, planted from Forte Torre Church in Bologna. 

Having served at Forte Torre Church in Bologna for two years under JP and Sue Aranzulla, Jonny and Ruth returned to the UK to study the Bible further at the Cornhill Training Course. Now, having been better equipped for gospel ministry, they are returning to Italy to serve the church plant in Modena.

Stupenda Grazia Church has a small core membership, with a growing number of visitors each Sunday. Jonny and Ruth would like to get alongside Daniele, the pastor, and his wife, Emily, to encourage them in their ministry and to help disciple the younger people in the church.

There is a very small but growing number of evangelical churches in Italy. Biblical expository preaching is slowly becoming more common, which Jonny is seeking to encourage. But every member ministry is not a big part of the church culture. So Jonny and Ruth are seeking to equip and encourage Italian men and women for gospel ministry so that the church might grow and the many lost people in Modena might be saved.
