John is seeking to share the love and truth of Christ with those in County Dublin, the Republic of Ireland, who don’t yet know him.
Just 1% of the Republic of Ireland’s population are evangelical Christians, and because the country is secularising so rapidly, many have no knowledge of Jesus and a strong suspicion of anything ‘religious’. There is a great need for Christians to go out into the harvest field and God has put youth and children’s work, evangelism and pioneer church planting on John’s heart.
John is part of a church-planting team, along with Simon and Abigail Donohoe, into Cherrywood, a new and fast-growing suburb to the south of Dublin. When completed, Cherrywood will house 25,000 people – yet no plans have been made to build a church of any denomination in the development. John’s prayer is that the church plant in Cherrywood will be one of many Jesus-loving, God-glorifying, faithfully fruit-bearing churches across Ireland.
