Guyo is a BEST study partner with St Paul’s University in Limuru, Kenya.
Guyo was born and brought up in a context where tradition and culture were particularly highly regarded. In 1999, students from Kenyatta University came to Marsabit for a mission and preached door-to-door and in the open air. He went to hear them every evening until, one day, he put his faith in Jesus Christ. Sometime later, he was baptised and confirmed in the Anglican Church. He writes, ‘God has done wonderful things in my life up to today.’
Guyo is studying in order to gain more knowledge and understanding of the Bible, as well as to gain leadership skills and ways of teaching a range of people. Marsabit diocese is geographically very large and covers the counties of Marsabit and Isiolo. Guyo’s parish is in dire need of the gospel as very few know Jesus Christ for themselves. Once he has finished with his studies, he will be assigned within the Diocese of Marsabit and will preach the gospel to all who need to hear it.
