In Kenya, there is a huge need for more ministries that reach out to and disciple young people. Many young people grow up in Christian homes and identify as Christians, yet are unable to articulate the gospel clearly.
GracePoint church was planted in 2017 in Kikuyu, a town on the outskirts of Nairobi. Each week, the Bible is taught at Sunday services and mid-week groups. Over the past two years GracePoint Church has grown both in number and in influence, but there is much ministry work to do. Until now, there has been no dedicated youth worker at the church, though many young people live in the town.
After finishing the Cornhill Training Course in London, Ken Irungu returned to Kenya to work as the youth worker at GracePoint Church. Ken is mentoring, discipling and teaching the Bible to children and teenagers in Kikuyu, as well as many students studying at a local university. He also organises evangelistic events and camps for young people and is teaches ministry apprentices apprentices at iServe Africa.
