Fekede is a study partner at Nekemte Christian Education College.

The majority of the Ethiopian population are members of the Orthodox Church. Services are highly traditional and the teaching is based on folklore and error. There is a great need in Ethiopia for more trained pastors who can take the good news to unreached people groups and help win more of the population for Christ.

For the past 10 years, Fekede has been working voluntarily for his church as minister and evangelist. He would now like to do this full-time, helping meet the need for more pastors in Ethiopia. Fekede recognises that in order to serve his congregation well, he needs to be better trained. Fekede writes, ‘The number of people in our church is increasing but it needs qualified manpower. This course will increase my bible knowledge and prepare me for teaching the people of God by the word of God.’

Training
Fekede is studying for a Bachelors in Practical Theology from August 2021 – June 2025. He needs £760 per year for four academic years.
