Alex became a Christian at the age of eleven while undertaking catechism classes. Since then, God has been using him to evangelise in a range of contexts, including schools, markets and hospitals. The Lord called him into ordained ministry in 2015 and he began his training that year.
In Mityana Diocese, where Alex originates, there are more than 750 churches and each pastor oversees an average of ten churches. Alex is passionate about increasing the number of trained pastors in his diocese as well as in Uganda as a whole so that men, women and children may be reached with the gospel and be discipled for a lifetime of walking with Jesus.
Alex is based in Namugongo, Uganda and is currently studying online for an MTh with South Africa Theological Seminary. He writes, ‘This course is so helpful to both my current and future ministry which is about training ministers in Uganda. This course will refine me more for this noble task of equipping men and women with all that it takes to occupy God’s people with God’s word.’
