Mission Partner

Adam and Nomfundo Tomalin

Adam and Nomfundo serve with the Christ Church community in Fredville, semi-rural KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, partnering with local churches to reach people for Jesus and share his love. Together, they seek to glorify God by engaging with the community’s needs and opportunities, through the gospel.

KwaZulu-Natal is a South African province full of opportunities for the redeeming power of Jesus. It’s a province rich in heritage with the prominent language, isiZulu, being the most spoken language in the country. The province is filled with much beauty, and yet also infiltrated with deep issues such as tribalism and spiritual insecurity. In the area of Fredville, ancestor veneration is deeply rooted, calling for Christians to humbly and carefully engage with the culture to share Christ effectively. Both Adam and Nomfundo are dedicating time to learning Zulu and connecting with local people to share Scripture in their heart language. Meanwhile, Nomfundo continues her Christian Counselling work and studies with the South African Theological Seminary (SATS), aiming to provide trauma healing in the region.
