Our members elect up to eight members to our trustee board.
We also have four co-opted trustees and a representative from the General Synod of the Church of England. Our trustees meet five times a year and report back to members at our annual meeting. Our trustees are responsible for appointing mission and operations directors. These directors oversee all our work.
John Hamilton, an Anglican rector in the diocese of Winchester, is our chairman.
John became a Christian through the witness of a school friend. He oversees a parish church and congregation north of Basingstoke, which has supported several Crosslinks mission partners. These, says John, have “enriched our fellowship and been a blessing to us”. Married to Trish, John has two children and two grandchildren, and he enjoys walking his dog and gardening.
John was part of our general council until January 2016. That month, we brought in a new governance structure: the board of trustees of BCMT Ltd. Crosslinks, now a limited company, remains a registered charity.
