Jonny and Ruth serve at Stupenda Grazia Church in Modena, seeking to make disciples of Jesus Christ in the city.
Having previously served at Forte Torre Church in Bologna under JP and Sue Aranzulla, they are now part of the smaller church plant in nearby Modena.
Jonny and Ruth are working alongside the Italian leaders and church members, encouraging faithful Bible teaching and godly living. They host a Bible study group, help lead the youth group, and regularly meet one-to-one with people to read the Bible and pray.
Through personal relationships and the university Christian Union, they seek to share the gospel of God’s grace with students and others in the city.
Although Italy is dominated by nominal Catholicism, there is a small but growing number of evangelical churches. Yet many churches have experienced division and hardship. Jonny and Ruth pray that God would strengthen the church in faith, hope and love, while continuing to bring more people to Christ and establish new churches.
