Post Graduate Courses
Master of Theology (MTh)
Requirements for admission:
Academic:
BA Degree with a major in Religious Studies, or a Bachelor of Divinity (BD), or a Bachelor of Theology (BTh) or a Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree.
Second Class Honours Upper Division (2/1) with proven ability in the specific field. The candidate must have a 2/1 in courses in the area of specialization.
Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.3 on 4.0 scale (B+) from an accredited University or College.
Tentative Thesis proposal in the area of specialization.
Language:
English language proficiency.
Applicants who have undertaken their undergraduate work in another language will be required to submit proof of English language proficiency.
Graduate work in New Testament Studies requires competence in Greek.
Proposed Courses:
Christian Response to HIV/AIDS
Entrance Requirements:
Christians in good standing with there churches who:
Are already involved in AIDS-related ministry, with at least two years experience in the ministry
Are able to draw together a local group of at least 20 people
Are over 25 years of age
Have a good Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
Are sponsored by a church or agency engaged in AIDS related ministry who will support the candidate on completion of the course in continuing with AIDS- related Ministry.
Post-Graduate Courses in Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations
Post-Graduate Diploma
Any candidate seeking admission to the post-graduate course must have a minimum of a Lower Second Honours Degree (2.2), or a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 2.5 or the equivalent, in the system where they obtained their first degree.
It is also expected that they will have proven English Proficiency. If this needs to be demonstrated, especially when the language in which the Applicants studied for their first degree was not English, they will be expected to show English language competence. This is normally with a pass in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a score of 5.5 or the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a score of: (paper) 500 or (computer-based) 213; or other equivalents.
Candidates will need to provide proof of their qualifications, together with two appropriate references, with their application.
Candidates will need to demonstrate that they have some prior knowledge of Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations. This may be from undergraduate studies or may be from life experience in the field.
Master of Arts
Any candidate seeking admission to the post-graduate Master of Arts course must have a minimum of a Upper Second Honours Degree (2.1), or a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 or the equivalent, in the system where they obtained their first degree.

Any candidate who has successfully completed the Post-Graduate Diploma in Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations offered by the institution, with a Percentage Average (PA) of at least 60%, may be admitted to the Master’s programme and be given credit of four taught modules.
