A group of young people from St Leonard’s Church in Exeter are preparing for a Summer Team Placement in Kampala, Uganda.

Rachael and Sam are leading the team, which is made up of Matt, Chris, Hannah, Hannah and Bethany.

This placement is still in the development phase, as the itinerary is coming together. The general aim is to help run an evangelistic camp for boys who live on the streets, and to help with a practical project linked to the work of one of Crosslinks Mission Partners.  Even though things are still in the planning stage there is much to be praying for!

Please pray for:

  • The team as they prepare practically, getting vaccinations etc.
  • The itinerary: for the team to make best use of their time in Kampala in service of their King and his people in Uganda.
  • God to be working in the hearts and minds of those the team will meet: for them to be ready to hear of Christ, and to want respond to him.
  • Raising the money needed to get the team to Uganda.

Team Leader Sam writes:

On the 6th of May I am running the Great West Run, a half-marathon through the streets of Exeter to raise money for our trip. I am busy training hard and hope to complete this challenge in a respectable time! So as you're reading this (probably sat back in a warm, comfy chair) please think of me out in the cold, wet weather and dig deep! You can sponsor me by clicking the link on this page.
