Gambia Gap Team 2012

The Gambia Gap Team in 2012 left the UK for Gambia on 10th January. The team is led by Jack and Laura. They are joined by George, Sophie H, Francis, Nick, Antonia, Sophie R, Catherine, Lydia and Robin, who make up the rest of the team.

The team are serving in the Fajara area, doing remedial teaching with struggling students, and teaching Christian Religious Education as well as other subjects. The team are also running after school Bible clubs, helping with Sunday school at a local church, running children’s programmes on a number of conferences and supporting GamFES in a number of other ways.

Please pray for them as they settle into life in the Fajara area: pray that they would quickly adjust to the different climate; that they would pick up some of the local language quickly, and that they would be servant-hearted from the outset of their time in Gambia, seeking to serve the people they are living and working with. Pray for the team as they make decisions about which schools each member of the team should teach in.
