Church of the Good Shepherd, Farnborough

A team of 12 from the Church of the Good Shepherd Farnborough ('COGS' to those in the know) are heading to Cape Town in July for two and a half weeks.  This team is seeking to build up the church’s partnership with Debbie and Alun Burt through supporting them practically and working alongside them. 

The Burt’s work is focused on meeting both the practical and spiritual needs of vulnerable people living in Cape Town.  The team will be doing some practical work, seeing the Burt’s gospel ministry first hand, and getting a flavour for cross-cultural ministry.

The team is being led by three youth leaders (Fiona, J, and Chris) from the church and is made up of Penny, Tom, Bethany, Matt, Sarah, Rachael, Mark, Sophie and Ewan

 Please pray for the team as they prepare:

• To be able to raise all the money they need for the trip
• To be deeply prayerful for the community in Cape Town, the Burts, and the team’s trip
• For planning of the team’s itinerary for the trip – to make the best use of the time possible, and to be of genuine service to the Burt’s and the community.
• For God to draw each of the team closer to himself as they prepare, and during their time in South Africa
• And for God to use the team’s efforts both now and while they are overseas to bring himself great glory!
