Begun as an evening course in July 2000, Chandigarh Bible College now offers its own, residential, Batchelor of Theology degree, in both English and Hindi. Chandigarh is a non-demoninational Bible College that aims to produce theologically informed pastors who are well equipped in ministry skills and trained for the particular needs of the church in north-west India.
Chandigarh Bible College has been established with the conviction that theologically trained men and women are essential in order to fulfil the Great Commission (Mt 28:19-20). It seeks to provide quality biblical education, designed to prepare effective church leaders.
The future of the growing church in North-West India depends upon men and women with a strong theological and spiritual foundation, because whilst there are many agencies working zealously to bring many to Christ, the leadership resources of the current church are inadequate to meet the needs of present congregations, let alone a large influx of new members that is anticipated.
In response to this challenge, it seems certain that a college located in North-West India, is better able to train men and women for the particular needs of the church in this region.

Objectives
By the end of two years, it is hoped that the Lord will have enabled the following to be achieved through this initiative:
To provide quality Biblical training so that they can produce theologically informed and servant-hearted church leaders
That, by producing such leaders, Chandigarh Bible College would act as a servant of the church in north west India in giving it a solid theological and spiritual foundation
Costs involved
Whilst the needs are great, finance is often a restricting factor in running an operation like Chandigarh. Crosslinks has agreed funding of £5000 for 2007 and £4000 for 2008. This goes towards staff salaries, and covers that of the Principal.
