Tara Butler is a solicitor who has taken 6 weeks of holiday and sabbatical leave to work with the Arise children’s project in Cape Town, South Africa. Alongside providing Tara with the opportunity to use her business and administrative skills to strengthen the funding base of the organisation, the placement in enabling her to have some practical involvement with the children’s after school and holiday club programmes. |

Andy and Sam Clarke with their son Noah are currently serving with the U-Turn Homeless Ministries in Cape Town, South Africa in January 2010. Andy is a Designer / CAD Technician and Sam is a Medical Doctor. Sam is involved in the drop-in clinic and training projects that U-Turn runs. Andy is using his I.T. skills providing computer training to help improve the work prospects of those following the U-Turn programme. |

Lucy Sawyer joined the Arise project in February for 2 years following an earlier short term placement in 2009. She is a clinical psychologist and her role includes working with the children and their families and networking with other service providers in Cape Town where the project is based. |
