Prayer Letter February 2008.
Dear friends and mission partners,
We would want first of all to thank you all who are praying for us and for Serbia as it is facing this difficult time.
Most of you have probably been following the happenings on the news and seen what has happened in Belgrade last night. Just to start with that there was no demonstrations in Novi Sad just in Belgrade. There where over 150.000 people peacefully demonstrating in Belgrade, but about hundred youths set of havocking in Belgrade and amongst all, burning down one building of the US embassy and one McDonald's building, plundering several stores, kiosk's and burning cars. Those young kids don't represent the Serbian population concerning havocking Belgrade, most people think this will damage the Serbian position further but also it is important to know that the Serbs are very angry of losing Kosovo, and still the majority decided to go for peaceful demonstrations to point out that they want a peaceful solution on this.
We can only pray that the violence will calm down and that Serbia might find peaceful ways to demonstrate their rights.
Pray for us and our safety (we will in March travel to do some training in South Serbia, very close to Kosovo)
Yours in Christ
Chris & Lotta Strajnic
