July 2008 Prayer Update
We hope you are all doing well. We are fine, glad that June was over (an extremely challenging and busy month) and very much looking forward to a visit from Gill's parents and Aunt in July! We will be going to visit Carlos' parents in the village and also see Mbale, where Oasis runs a project (4 hours from Kampala) and also spend time in Kampala so they can get to see a bit of our life here! It will be a wonderful time, and we thank God for their visit. Thanks as ever for praying for us

Last month we asked for prayer for Julius as he began setting up the new Net2Work in Pader. He managed to get everything done that he needed, and now we are just waiting upon a shipment of computers from UK, which have been donated at no cost to us. We give thanks that we'll be able to train more young people in vital computer skills.
We are so grateful to God that finally our Audit was finished! We are also thankful that a visit from someone related to the big funding proposal I mentioned last month, who was doing a pre award evaluation of our financial systems, went well. We are still waiting to hear if the proposal was successful, but the fact that this check was positive is a good sign.
We thank God that Gill's parents and Aunt are coming to visit and also that Gill managed to complete all the work she needed to do so she could take annual leave with peace of mind!!

We have 2 summer teams coming to Uganda in August and we are hoping to build a covered sheltered area at one of our project sites to hold workshops and community training. The team are bringing the finance and labour for the project, but there is a lot of work to do in preparation before they come. Please pray especially for Maree, who oversees our teams, that she would be able to organise all that needs doing.
Please pray that all would go well in the office while Gill is out for 9 days. Our staff team are fantastic so all should be fine, though we have definitely had spiritual attack lately in terms of what we have called 'technical demons' (!) who seem to cause printers not to work; electricity to go off; internet to be erratic; data to be lost... please pray that all would go smoothly and no major problems would arise!
