Prayer Update July 2008
KARAGWE CALLING
Dear Friends,
What would you do if you entered your bedroom only to be welcomed by a snake? Well, my reaction was to say “Oh my goodness” & shut the door very quickly!! It was a rather large specimen, writhing across the floor. What to do? Phone Henerico, of course!! Thankfully he came over, & killed it for me, all 3 feet of it. The worst of it is that it seems likely it was in there when I was in bed last night, or it entered very early this morning. Praise God for his protection of me!
I have faced several dilemmas this last month, so it has been quite a testing time for me. Most of the pressure is due to the delay in the clearance of the new vehicle. It really has been hard to know it arrived in Dar at the beginning of April & yet is still ‘in bond’. Of course I am due to fly to UK next week, so after much thought & debate I have decided to delay my flight by 1 week, despite really needing a break.
Give thanks that my previous trip to Dar contributed to some progress with the vehicle but please pray that this week the vehicle will be released, & no more reasons given for delay.
Pray that my return trip to Dar & the travelling back to Karagwe in the vehicle will be safe, peaceful & one of thanks to God for the new vehicle. Imani a driver from the Diocese, will meet me in Dar & do the bulk of the driving back.
THE wedding was wonderful, all went well & it was a very happy occasion! Praise God for Henerico & Lewitha as they begin their life together in God’s service. They both looked relaxed & happy at the reception, & we danced until nearly midnight!! Thank you for your prayers for them both, they were amazed that people in UK were praying!
It has been hard for me trying to keep everything going, but I thank God my health has been good. I am looking forward to the break in the UK; it is a ‘holiday’ break, so I will not be visiting churches, but recharging my batteries!
Pray for Flavian as he finishes the course in Uganda; we are pleased he is doing very well; he will face exams at the end of this month.
The Programme will be short staffed for a while, leaving Lewitha with many things to handle! Pray she keeps calm & enjoys herself!
Crosslinks are also short staffed at present, so bring their situation to God, asking for wisdom as they work under pressure.
“Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him.” - Psalm 62:5
With my love and thanks to you all for supporting me over the years,
From
