Prayer Update August 2008
Dear friends,
I hope that you have enjoyed a refreshing break over the last month or so. We had a lovely week away in Iringa, Ruaha Game Park, Morogoro and Dar Es Salaam, enjoying some of the beauty and diversity of this lovely country, visiting friends, shopping and going out for dinner in Dar. Lots of kilometers were covered but we came back refreshed and ready for the work ahead. Here are a few of our prayer needs:
Msalato Theological College is open tomorrow. Please pray for:
A) staff and students as the new college year begins.
B) hard work and faithfulness among the students.
C) a godly attitude and focus to all that goes on at MTC, a crucial tool for ministry training in Tanzania
D) wisdom and strength for the management team – Rev. Moses Matonya – Principal, Rev. Charles Mwihambi – Academic Dean, Rev. Yusufu Mkunda – Administrator
E) that students will be able to find the necessary fees
2. Canon Andrea Mwaka School (where I am Chair of the School Board, was a teacher and where all our expat. children go to school) also opens tomorrow. Please pray for Vicki the Head and staff as many of them have been struggling with flu bugs over the break and are not yet back to full strength.
3. Tim is in the US right now, checking ZBZ, the repaired Caravan (Cesna 208) before it can return to service here, please pray for:
A) Wisdom and sound judgement for Tim and the team
B) A good test flight
C) A safe ferry flight back for the plane, probably via Newfoundland, Iceland, UK, Europe and down through Africa!!
D) A speedy return to service for this plane which will need several additions when it returns, but is sorely needed
4. Lets also remember Bishop Mdimi and other African Bishops at what is proving to be a difficult Lambeth Conference, and as many will be traveling home soon.
Thanks for your continued prayer for us, Love to you,
Tim and Carol
