Prayer Letter January 2007

Greetings, in the name of our Jesus Christ and very happy new year to you, and every one at Crosslinks headquarters.

Here is the news letter from Slough for the Christmas season.

On 1st December we had our Christmas Family Carolling competition, this was first programme of this nature but there was good response, twelve families participated in the competition and hopefully more families will be involved next year. There was another competition for young children, who were dressed in the costumes of Christmas characters, like king, wise men, shepherds etc. Evening was ended with a fellowship dinner.

On 9th December we had Christmas party in the Gilliat hall, in St. Paul’s church, around 250 people attended this programme and enjoyed the Christmas Carolling and nativity drama, some friends from other faiths also attended this event. Followed by grand Christmas dinner.

On 16th December we organised Christmas carolling at Slough high street with the cooperation of St. Paul’s and other churches in Slough. It was highly appreciated by the people of different communities living in Slough.

On 19th we visited Langley Nursing home on their invitation and sung carols and shared the word of God with the residents. We did go to the families living around our Parish for carol singing on 20th and 21st and visited about 30 families.

On 23 December we organised Christmas carolling in front of St. Paul’s Church on Stoke Road, mince pies, tea and coffee was offered to the people came to hear the singing.

On 1st January we had special New Year day service in St. Paul’s church followed by lunch and games prepared by our families. It was a good service and wonderful way to enter into the New Year.

We have restarted our Asian house Group from 12th January 07. It was good start because some new have joined us. We meet every Friday at 8.00pm, after the worship we have fellowship meal.

We have started a new bible study group from Wednesday 17th January at 7.30pm, in St. Paul’s church lounge.

We meet in different houses for prayer and worship Every Tuesday 7.00 pm.

We organise ‘All night prayer’ once a month, last Friday of the month.

We are thankful to the Lord for enabling us in the year 2006 to accomplish everything we planned for. Please pray for my studies and upcoming programme in 2007.

Love and Prayers
