Prayer Letter July 2007
Dear Brothers and sisters in the Lord,
We greet you all in the name of our precious saviour Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
It has been a while you didn't hear from us. This was due to the occupation of the mission field; nevertheless we are so grateful to the Lord who never forsake us. By His grace, I and my family are doing well hear in Togo especially at Dapaong. Our son God's love is growing up well. He is waiting for his junior brother or sister who will soon join us in the family. My wife Melanie has not yet deliver her baby. One thing we know is that it won't be long again before she deliver. Therefore be praying, please for her. Sena and Jayne and the children are also doing well. I'm actually at Dapaong while Melanie and God'slove are gone to Lomé. I will join them soon .
Coming back to the ministry itself at Dapaong, we praise the name of the Lord who is doing marvellous things among Moba and Fulanies tribes. Day after day we are seeing new faces joining us in the church at Nassable (Dapaong ). Brother Timothee and his wife and children have definitely joined us in the fellowship. The Lord is already using this family to achieve many things in the church. Brother Timothee promised to help us plant some trees aroung the chapel of the church. The choir of the church have now an uniform. The men sew green trousers and white shirts while the women wear green skirt and white shirt too. They are so beautiful any time they sing at church during the service on Sunday. For the past six months we have seen a lot of improvement in this choir. This is much encouraging. My wife Melanie and sister Hemieline are the choir leaders. We thank God for their lives. Please be praying for them.
Some weeks ago we gave a teaching to the leaders of all our several cell groups. This teaching was based on how to preach or to present the gospel to the people. We were very much encouraged when we noticed that our teaching has had an effect on them and they are already putting it into practice. Praise God.
By the grace of God, we will soon build another chapel at Tantigou. I will stay there to follow them up while Sena will remain in our main chapel at Nassable. Please we need your prayer in this vision. By the Fulanies side, we are glad to see three young boys ( Assoumana, Boukari and Gourma ) who will begin grammar school in September 2007. They have passed their exams. I didn't work in vain by following them up. These boys need your prayer and support.
Sad News :
When last time I visited the Fulanies, My heart was seriously hurt because I noticed that the parents have circumcised all the small girls in the family. ( that means the inner part of their sex have been cut off.) This practice is forbidden in Togo. I never think that the Fulanies have kept this evil practice. Because of this, I and Sena and Nakpergou will prepare a teaching for the parents so that they can do away with this evil tradition.
Another sad news is that Pastor Hali from Kpatchiangban has lost his 13 years old girl. the girl was sick and brought to the hospital on Friday; but on Sunday, she passed way. We buried the dead body that same day in the evening time. Please pray for the family of Hali.
Normaly, the month of June, July and August are raining season in Dapaong. unfortunately, rain is not coming. People of Dapaong do live from farm. It will be very difficult for them to feed themselves if they don't farm.
Prayer points:
Thanks so much for your patience and we are looking forward to hearing from you too.
Remain blessed in His vineyard,
Benoit, Melani, God's love and Daniela from Togo.
