Sena is from Togo, West Africa and Jane is English. They have three children: Joshua, Eloise and Johan. After studying at All Nations Christian College in Hertfordshire, they worked with the pastoral team of Eglise de Belleville in Paris, until 2004 when they moved to Togo.
Based in Dapaong, a town in the very north of Togo, their vision is to reach out to students and educated workers in the town. Dapaong has a population of around 30,000. A large proportion of these people are animist, and the worship of idols and ancestors has a very significant place in their world-view. There is a growing Muslim influence in the area with strong financial backing from outside countries. There is a unified Christian presence, which is in need of support in the face of these challenges.
They are working with a Togolese Church, M.I.J. (Ministère International de Jésus), who began planting churches in unreached villages around Dapaong about 15 years ago. Sena & Jane are also involved in community development work.
