Josh is the Acting Principal of Namibia Evangelical Theological Seminary (NETS); the only tertiary level evangelical training institution in Namibia. It exists to equip Christians for ministry in Namibia and beyond, and aims to provide an environment where Christians are brought to greater godliness, where ministry skills are sharpened and minds are renewed by God’s living word.

Josh and Cathy have been working in Southern Africa for the past six years; Josh in theological education and Cathy in hospitality and family care.

Josh was a pastor in the UK and obtained his MA in Theology from Oak Hill College. He has a particular passion to see God’s word preached faithfully in the local church. Since going to Namibia in 2007 he has lectured in Biblical Studies, Systematics and Church History and in 2008 was the NETS Academic Dean.

Cathy was a primary school teacher and a member of her school’s management team in the UK. She has been asked to join a working group which is developing a biblical studies curriculum for Namibian Schools. This has been accepted by the Education Ministry and hopefully will soon be rolled out to schools across Namibia. Cathy hopes to be involved in writing lesson plans for this curriculum. In a constitutionally secular country where general religious education has been taught in schools since its independence in 1990 this is a particularly exciting project.

They have three children: Benjamin, Erin and Matthew.
