Jonathan is teaching at a small evangelical Bible college just north of Helsinki.  Through the various courses that he is teaching, his concern is to strengthen and equip the students in their faith so that they continue to grow in confidence in God as they engage with their surrounding culture.

Jessica sees her primary role as caring for the family but is aware of a hunger for Bible study and prayer support among women, and makes opportunities to meet with them and read the Bible together.

Helsinki is one of the northernmost capitals of the world. It is a melting pot of cultures, with 11% of its population non-Finnish.  Students from the Far East, refugees from Afghanistan, Iran and Sudan and high-tech workers from India in the current culture of Finland are open to hear about the Gospel of Christ.

Finland is culturally Christian but few see Christianity as relevant or having anything of value to say to a secular and educated country. There is a great need for those who are confident in the truth and reliability of the Bible to work in Finland.

Drawing on their studies at the Cornhill Training Course, London and Regent College, Vancouver and a background in Bible based churches in the UK, Jonathan and Jessica are seeking to hold out God's word in their teaching ministries and how they live in a country that no longer has confidence in the Bible.

Jonathan and Jessica have two children: Jean-Paul and Nathan.
