Peter and Miranda Harris

Peter and Miranda work for A Rocha, a Christian environmental organisation working in over 20 countries around the world. They became Mission Partners in 1983 as the Crosslinks vision grew to include the vital new task of caring for creation in the work of mission, and they were sent to Portugal to establish the first A Rocha project whose story is told in the book Under the Bright Wings. The expansion of A Rocha’s work in the last 15 years is recounted in the later book, Kingfisher’s Fire.

Peter and Miranda’s role is to provide support for A Rocha's practical community based conservation projects which give expression to the Christian conviction that "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it". They are also involved with the international environmental community in giving focus to the relevance of questions of belief in the defence of biodiversity.
