Craig and Claudia Smith work at the National Teacher’s College (NTC), Kabale, Uganda. Craig is training secondary maths teachers and ‘upgrading’ primary school teachers. As well as teaching maths, he aims to explore with students what it means to be a Christian teacher in schools. Claudia is setting up a counselling service for staff and students.

Both Craig and Claudia work with the local Anglican Church in Kabale, where Craig leads some bible studies and Claudia assists with the children’s work. Claudia also runs training sessions for Sunday School teachers in the diocese, where they create resources and explore interactive and imaginative teaching methods.

There is a chapel at the NTC, which allows opportunities for preaching and children’s work.

Craig and Claudia have also started a sustainable project in some of the local villages. The project enables people to effectively use land that they own, which they were unable to utilise due to capital costs.

Craig and Claudia have two children: Leo and Bethany.
